A top-floor retreat beneath the eaves — smaller, warmer, and turned quietly toward the Castle.
The Story
A cosy room under a centuries-old slate roof, with the Castle beyond.
The Garret is our smaller, quieter apartment — one bedroom, one sitting room, one exceptionally private view. Where The Library is designed for gathering, The Garret is designed for two. Honeymooners, anniversaries, the occasional escape from a much larger life.

The Rooms
Room by room.
Bedroom
Velvet, and very little else.
A four-poster wrapped in deep-plum velvet, a hand-woven Highland throw folded at the foot. Dormer windows on both sides. In the morning, light. At night, only stars and slate.
Kitchen
Copper on a slow flame.
A galley of hand-hammered copper and reclaimed teak. Espresso pot, cast-iron skillet, a shelf of well-loved cookbooks. Small — deliberately so.
Bathroom
Marble, brass, warm water.
Carrara marble slab, brass rainfall shower, and a heated slate floor. Scottish soaps, wool bath mats, and a folded stack of thick towels warmed on the rail.
Sitting Room
Two chairs, one fire.
Two wing-back reading chairs face a wood-burning stove. A drinks trolley, a decanter of Highland Park, and — depending on the season — a bowl of clementines by the window.
